Final Part for Canada

The last in the series of Canada pictures. After our goodbye from Sabine's parents, we spent our last day hiking from Moraine Lake to Larch Valley and past the Valley of the Ten Peaks. Due to grizzly bear presence, we had to hike with a group of at least 4, so we hooked up with some local hikers from Calgary. They were really nice and might be visiting us next month. Moraine Lake was beautiful as ever, and it was fairly chilly at the beginning of the hike. But the sun started heating up and when we got to the meadow, it was nice and warm. The scenery was magnificent:

The wind started to blow from the pass and we decided to stay behind while our hiking buddies went up the pass. We walked around and had a bite to eat, but we had to put on winter gear to stay warm:

Glenna captured this nicely!

We started the descent, and even saw a grouse on the way down. The magnificent colors of the lake were shining through the trees. Our last night at the campground had us wake up to frozen windshield, so we had to cover Anouk up with some blankets at night. Overall, it was an amazing trip with beautiful scenery.
