Canada Part 3

Here are some more pictures from our trip to Canada, starting with a visit to the Columbia Icefield. It was extremely windy due to the temperature drop at the glacier, so we had to bundle up. Very impressive sight, even though it was sad to see how much it had receded in the last century.

We also drove to Maligne Lake, one of the major destinations around Jasper. The scenery was breathtaking, and pictures don't really do it justice. We also saw some some more bighorn sheep:

Here are some more scenes from our last few days with Sabine's parents and friends:

We went on a beautiful hike to Mt. Edith Cavell and the surrounding glaciers. The weather was fine until we reached the top: windy, and cold, and the picnic was cut short due to that. Anouk was not bothered and was really excited about the snow:

It is not that cold....

Yay, snow!

Yes, those are people in front of the glacial lake, to give you an impression of the size.

We drove back to Lake Louise after our goodbye to Sabine's family, and went on a hike along the lake right when it started to rain:

More to come!
